The IDL is engaged in developing a complete electronics laboratory that will, in conjunction with a PC, provide an environment for teaching electronics for scientists. This project is sponsored by the Dreyfus Foundation.

Currently, the fully functional devices include a Digital Voltmeter (DVM), Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) with programmable noise, a dual channel Digital Oscilloscope (DSO), Voltage Reference Source (VRS), 8-channel 12-bit analog input system (ADC), a counter-timer module (CTM) that can serve as a frequency meter or counter.
